When people think of Las Vegas, the neon lights always come to mind immediately, and with good reason. The Entertainment Capital of the World isn’t short on glitz and glamour, to be sure.
But there are spectacular views throughout the city that many people don’t know about, and are perfect for taking pictures, or just taking it all in.
Here are a handful of spots worth making part of your visit. Don’t forget your camera!
ON THE STRIP VIEWS: The views from elevated clubs with outdoor patios are unparalleled, whether it’s day or night. You’ll find plenty of amazing views as well, from such hot spots as the Mandarin Bar at Mandarin Oriental, the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay and Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell. The High Roller observation wheel (above) at The LINQ also offers several incredible vantage points.
OFF-STRIP VIEWS FROM ROOFTOP NIGHTCLUBS OR RESTAURANTS: You’ll find plenty of amazing views as well from hot spots off of the Strip, such as Ghostbar at the Palms (above), with its inspiring sightline from more than 50 stories high.
The Voodoo Lounge (above) at the Rio is a fantastic place to gaze at the Strip, and the Observation Deck at the Stratosphere provides a 360-degree view of Vegas like no other. You can also enjoy the view from above inside at Level 107 Lounge.
SCENIC BEAUTY: Just on the outskirts of Las Vegas are some true scenic wonders. Valley of Fire State Park (above) derives its name from the spectacular red sandstone formations and makes for some picturesque hiking and picnicking. More hiking, cycling and horseback riding with a gorgeous backdrop can be found at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, and Las Vegas is also nearby Mount Charleston Recreation Area, perfect for camping and enjoying majestic views.
No matter what visually inspires you, you are sure to find the picture-perfect spot in Las Vegas.
